Feb. 14 Oklahoma Special Election Results
OKLAHOMA CITY — Voters headed to the polls Tuesday to vote in a special election.
Democrat Rep. Al McAffrey defeated Republican Jason Reese with 67 percent of the vote to win the Senate District 46 seat that was opened when former Democratic leader Andrew Rice moved to Tennessee.
Oklahoma City School Board Seat No. 4 was won by Laura Massenat, with 54 percent of the vote.
Edmond School Board Seat No. 2 was won by Kathleen Duncan, with 53 percent of the vote over Steven F. Roy.
Matt Uhr will be in a runoff against Leonard Wells after no candidate was able to get more than 50 percent of the vote for the Yukon School Board seat.
Jim Brown won a seat on the Mustang School board with 61 percent of the vote.
In the Midwest City Councilmember races, Jay Dee Collins won Ward 2 with 72 percent of the vote over Daniel Bays, James Ray won Ward 4 with 58 percent of the vote over Edward Graham and Jeff Moore won Ward 6 with 52 percent of the vote.
Eddie Stackhouse won the Pottawatomie County Commissioner District 3 seat with 72 percent of the vote over Kenneth McDaniel.
Shawnee Proposition 1 for a half-cent sales tax failed with 86 percent of the vote against it.
Shawnee Proposition 2 for improvements to city parks failed with 77 percent of the vote against it.
Shawnee Proposition 3 for public safety failed with 75 percent of the vote against it.
