Oklahoma City Fire Fighters Endorse McAffrey
Oklahoma City – State Representative Al McAffrey, candidate for State Senate District 46, has received the endorsement of the Oklahoma City Fire Fighters Association Local 157.
“I am incredibly honored to receive this endorsement,” McAffrey said. “Throughout my service in the State House, I have worked hard to protect and defend the rights of our public employees. Our firefighters are dedicated men and women who often times risk their own lives to save others’. I am not only honored, but humbled to receive their support for my campaign for State Senate.”
“We are proud to support Representative McAffrey in his bid for State Senate,” said Phil Sipe, President of the Oklahoma City Fire Fighters, Local 157. “We appreciate his concerns not only for firefighters’ issues, but his vision to make Oklahoma a better place to live and his commitment to restore good government for the taxpayers.”
McAffrey has been a long-time champion of Oklahoma’s public employees. Earlier this year, he worked against legislative attempts to repeal compulsory collective bargaining for public employees.
